Poemophone: Noiseless for Jorn Ake

Noiseless audio sample

This is an audio recording of the phrase “In Arabic, absurdity is not being able to hear” being played on this poemophone.

Poet, Jorn Ake, composed using his mother’s recipe cards, having found that she had kept a written record of his first words on the backside of each card. Using an open form of word play he invited the audience to read and compose along with him as performers responded to spontaneous callouts from the cards.
